Prepare Fabric<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
\"Cut<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Step 1:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cut fabric and elastic:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fabric cut 1: 60cm x 12cm (23\u201d x 5\u201d)
Elastic cut 1: 18cm x 0.5cm \/ 1cm (as preferred) (7\u201d x 1\/4\u201d \/ 1\/2″)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With right sides together, fold the fabric in half so the short ends meet, sew short ends together with 1cm (\u00bd\u201d) seam allowance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Move the seam to the middle and press seams open.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 4:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fold the top layer in towards the middle,\nthen fold the outer layer right sides together so that the top layer is\nsandwiched in the middle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 5:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sew along the outer layer with a 1cm (\u00bd”) seam allowance, being careful not to catch the layer in the middle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you go sew along, slowly pull the middle out so it becomes the outer layer.

Keep sewing until you are nearly at the place you started. Leave a gap with enough space to turn the fabric through 4-5cm (1 \u00bd to 2\u201d).

Backstitch to secure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Insert Elastic and Secure:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Step 6:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pull the fabric through the gap until it is all out and resembles a circular tube.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 7:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Attach your elastic to a safety pin and\nthread through the tube, making sure you hold the other end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once threaded through you can either tie the ends together (I do this for 0.5cm (\u00bc\u201d) elastic) or overlap the ends by 1cm (\u00bd\u201d) and zigzag stitch to secure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 8:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Topstitch the gap to close. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
