The Awhi Coat has a professional finish with clean design lines that are simple and beautiful.<\/p>\n<p>The tutorial guides you through a button loop closure (which means no button holes!) but the more experienced sewer can easily add their own preferred fastenings without any adjustment to the pattern.<\/p>\n<p>The pattern and tutorial is suitable for an ambitious beginner or sewer of all experience levels. For the outer, look for heavy weight fabrics including wool, melton cloth, upcycled blankets etc.<\/p>\n<p>For the lining think light weight fabrics like cotton, poly cotton, voile etc.<\/p>\n<h5>Fit and Ease of the Awhi Coat:<\/h5>\n<p>The Awhi Coat has been designed for winter wear. It has a lot of ease through the chest allowing for tops or sweaters to be worn underneath.<\/p>\n<p>The sleeves have been designed to roll up and a sleeve adjustment guide has been included on the pattern piece for a custom length sleeve.<\/p>\n<p>When you are choosing what size to create, measure around the chest (around the body just under the underarms). Use the chest measurement to determine what size your child is.<\/p>\n<p>This pattern has been created using Standard American Measurements and might seem different to what you usually buy in stores. Therefore, use the size the chart says you are to fit the chest, and if required, lengthen or shorten the pattern as needed.
